The National Resilience Council (NRC) joined the 2026 Sustainability Expo (SUSTEX) on August 5 at SMX Convention Center Aura, bringing together stakeholders to advance a greener and more resilient Philippines.
Guided by the theme “Bayanihan Innovation for a Green and Resilient Philippines,” the expo highlighted the power of collaboration, innovation, and sustainability in addressing climate and disaster risks.

NRC Resilience Analyst Ms. Joy Rocamora shared insights on Community-Led Innovation Technologies for Disasters, emphasizing that resilience goes beyond technology—it requires community knowledge, participation, preparedness, and adaptive capacity.
Through the NRC’s Resilient Local Government Unit Program, local governments are supported in strengthening key areas of resilience and developing solutions responsive to their communities’ needs.
Innovation becomes truly resilient when communities are not only beneficiaries, but active partners in creating solutions.
