NRC, RAFI “partnership exploration” for Cebu resilience

Last February 6, the National Resilience Council (NRC) paid a visit to the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) to explore potential partnerships that will enhance resilience on a community-level in the province of Cebu.

Together with RAFI’s COO Riella Guioguio, Chief CAP Officer Estee Plunket, Program Officer Pet Rom, a dialo integrating the NRC’s Barangay Resilience Bingo Scorecard (BRBS) with the RAFI’s Purok System of bayanihan

The BRBS is a tool that builds a culture of resilience at the barangay level and strengthens the collaboration among the City/Municipal Government, barangays, DILG field office, and other stakeholders. It also aids in identifying opportunities for capacity-building interventions at the barangay and community level.

On the other hand, RAFI’s purok system helps address other issues such as peace and order, delivery of basic health services, and even providing financial support to those who experience death in the family.

This dialogue opens a lot of possibilities of complementation between the two organizations’ programs and tools for a more resilient Cebu!
