We would also like to honor our Partners-in-Resilience, Mr. Christian John Evangelista and Ms. Erma Suyo, for their recognition as awardees of the 2024 Philippine Resilience Awards (PRA). This award is a symbol of their unyielding dedication towards resilience action.

Mr. Evangelista is an awardee for the 2024 PRA Youth Category. He is a DRRMO V at the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. The City Government of Manila is a partner of NRC for the Adopt-A-City Initiative along with our private sector partners ICTSI Foundation and BPI Foundation.

Ms. Erma Suyo is an awardee for the 2024 PRA Women’s Category. She is the Department Head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Agusan del Norte. The Provincial Government of Agusan del Norte is a partner of NRC and the consortium partners (i.e., UNDP, UN-HABITAT, PBSP, and CBCS) for the Strengthening Institutions and Empowering Localities against Disasters and Climate Change (SHIELD) Program.

NRC is immensely proud of the inspiring stories of our resilience champions and wishes for the continuing formation of meaningful, sustainable initiatives towards climate and disaster resilience.
