APMCDRR Resilience Hubs Speakers

ICYMI: The National Resilience Council (NRC) proudly organized the “Resilience Hubs for Anticipatory Action: Amplifying the Role of Science and Technology Innovations through Public-Private-People Partnerships” last October 15, 2024, at the Philippine Pavilion Partner Event.

The session featured NRC’s Adopt-A-City (AAC) Initiative, highlighting the importance of resilience hubs and anticipatory technologies in building local resilience. Thus, promoting the principles of coherence, co-creation, and co-benefits as an impetus for effective resilience strategies – fostering collaborative synergies across the Asia-Pacific region.

Resource speakers emphasized resilience hubs as a core platform for collaboration among diverse stakeholders – encouraging knowledge and resource sharing; offering intersectionality – driving a deepened sense of ownership, co-ownership, and co-creation; and underpinning the critical need for innovation to achieve local resilience.

This partner event is organized by the National Resilience Council (NRC), co-organized by the Coastal Cities at Risk in the Philippines (CCARPH), Ateneo Innovation Center (AIC), and in partnership with ARISE Philippines, SM Development Corporation, Zuellig Family Foundation, Alinea International, and the City Government of Iloilo.
