With the theme “Bayanihan Para Sa Klima: Bagong Bansang Matatag”, the NRC attended the Opening Ceremonies of the 16th Global Warming and Climate Change Consciousness Week of the Climate Change Commission of the Philippines.
The ceremony was then followed by the Climate Investment Forum 2023: Unlocking Climate Resilience and Low-Carbon Investment Opportunities for the Private Sector in the afternoon. The forum focuses on unlocking climate resilience and low-carbon investment opportunities for the private sector and underlines conducive conditions for investments in climate resilience, encouraging collaboration between the private sector and the government to accelerate the country’s climate goals.
In a parallel event, an art exhibit, “Stories of Resilience,” opened with a collection of photographs and poetry capturing the resilience, hope, and inspiration of Filipinos in the face of climate change and disasters.
