Today marks the first anniversary of the 2025 Resilient LGU Program Colloquium, titled “From Surviving to Thriving: Transformative Strategies through Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships and Innovations.”
Led by the National Resilience Council (NRC) together with its partner LGUs, the private sector, and academe under the Adopt-A-City (AAC) Program, the Colloquium brought together ten cities across different phases of resilience building. For the Prepare Phase, participating LGUs included Baguio, Tiwi, Mandaue, and Iligan. Meanwhile, the Transform Phase featured the Cities of Manila, Ormoc, Naga, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, and the Province of Bataan.
The Colloquium served as a dynamic platform for LGUs to share the progress and positive transformations achieved through the AAC Program. Testimonies from mayors and focal persons highlighted how collaboration, strong partnerships, and a whole-of-society approach can drive meaningful and lasting change.
Through the collective efforts of local governments, the private sector, and the academe, we are reminded that resilience is not built alone—it is built together for stronger communities and a better future.
