The National Resilience Council Foundation (NRF) continues to extend its impact by sharing knowledge and expertise across diverse sectors. On February 9–10, the NRF served as a technical resource at the PEF Staff Technical Conference, organized by the Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF).
Over the two-day event, participants deepened their understanding of risk, resilience, and effective engagement with local government units (LGUs). Day 1 highlighted PEF’s role in building community resilience, focusing on the concept of “bouncing forward,” climate-informed risk assessment, and context-specific economic and livelihood strategies, supported by practical exercises. Day 2 emphasized actionable approaches for LGU collaboration, covering policy guidance, grant opportunities, systems thinking, and stakeholder mapping to support strategic, inclusive, and sustainable planning. The conference underscored that resilience depends on adaptive capacity, shared ownership, and long-term integrated planning, supported by good governance and active community participation.
This partnership demonstrates how sharing expertise and resources can bridge gaps between organizations and communities. By working together, we can strengthen resilience today and create a brighter, safer future for generations to come.
