On September 30, 2025, the National Resilience Council (NRC) participated in the panel session emphasizing the critical role of the whole-of-society approach in building resilience. During the session on “Collaboration: Strengthening Solidarity for Impact”, NRC also emphasized that leadership and governance must be grounded in science and technology. These approaches are essential to effectively inform decisions, strengthen systems, and ensure long-term resilience.
The event highlighted three key imperatives: vision, which emphasizes a proactive and sustainable approach to community resilience; action, which champions a bottom-up approach where everyone takes ownership of the problem and co-creates solutions; and collaboration, which strengthens partnerships and reaffirms our shared commitment to building disaster-resilient communities across the Philippines. It underscored the importance of working across sectors and reminded participants that resilience initiatives cannot rely solely on government efforts.
The forum served as a reminder that building resilience is a continuous effort and a shared commitment. Collaboration remains at the core, harmonizing plans and actions to turn the vision of a resilient Philippines into reality.
