LOOK: National Resilience Council (NRC), together with the MSU-IIT teamed up to revitalize roles in the Adopt-A-City program and conducted a baseline consolidation during the Prepare Phase, with the primary goal of minimizing the loss of lives and assets. 

The NRC team, led by Resilience Fellow Mr. Juan “Bong” Villamor, kicked off the 3-day activities with a work planning session with the Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology last February 14, 2024. The activities reignited the academic partner’s commitment to work hand in hand with the City of Iligan to achieve its resilience vision.

It was followed by a two-day Baseline Data Consolidation under the Prepare Phase. Representatives from various LGU departments attended these sessions. They consolidated and validated the Prepare Phase data, agreeing on subsequent steps and finalizing the Baseline Consolidation. 

The Resilient Local Government System Scorecard Baseline Data Consolidation is a pivotal activity within the Adopt-A-City program. It aims to further enhance and analyze the resilience-building efforts of the City of Iligan, serving as the foundation for the city’s resilience action planning.
