How Resilience Shapes the Future of Sustainability

On June 11, 2025, the National Resilience Council (NRC) conducted an informative session at Asia Pacific College for the Introduction to Sustainability class for Business Management students, centered on the theme, “How Resilience Shapes the Future of Sustainability.” The session aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the evolving concept of resilience amid today’s dynamic and complex risk landscape.

The session was conducted by Ms. Joy Rocamora, Resilience Analyst of the NRC, who highlighted the Council’s ongoing efforts to bridge the private sector, local government units (LGUs), and the academe in building stronger, more prepared communities. A key focus of the discussion was the ability of the youth to shape their resilient futures. For Business Management students, the session expanded their knowledge. It offered a fresh perspective on how they can contribute during disasters, particularly in the areas of business continuity and maintaining economic stability in the face of risks. The primary purpose of the lecture was to highlight the instrumental role of the youth in fostering innovative solutions for resilience.

We thank the Asia Pacific College for the opportunity to engage with their students and look forward to continuing our collaboration in advancing shared goals for a more resilient and sustainable Philippines.
