6th Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development

The Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development is a premier venue for various sectors to convene and discuss the Sustainable Development Goals, present Voluntary National Reviews and evaluate the progress on the regional road map for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development implementation.

Organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the forum invites members of international organizations, governments, the private sector, academe and civil society to share their perspectives and best practices for comprehensive discussions.

The theme for the 6th APFSD is entitled “Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”, which focuses on the review of the six SDGs, namely: Goal 4 (Quality Education), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), 13 (Climate Action), 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and 17 (Partnerships). At the end of the event, participants should also be able to address regional perspectives and discuss ways to strengthen the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and assess the progress of the road map pursuing the 2030 Agenda in Asia and the Pacific.
