The National Resilience Council (NRC) congratulates its Senior Resilience Fellow,  Dr. Emma Porio for being selected as a Lead Author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Climate Change and Cities.

This milestone is symbolic of Dr. Porio’s unyielding passion and significant contributions to climate science, urban resilience, and sustainability. 

Dr. Porio is also a Professor Emeritus at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology of the Ateneo de Manila University, and Project Leader and Principal Investigator of the Coastal Cities at Risk in the Philippines project.
