The annual Top Leaders Forum (TLF) demonstrates the value of evidence-informed public-private partnerships in achieving much-needed transformations for a disaster resilient Philippines.
The TLF gathers private sector executives, national and local government officials and members of the academe, scientific community and civil society to join the sessions for a comprehensive approach to disaster risk reduction (DRR) and resilience.
The UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) and Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies (ARISE) Philippines, in partnership with SM Prime and the National Resilience Council (NRC), organized the 2018 TLF with the theme entitled “Changing the Game: Building a Culture of Resilience Through Public-Private Partnerships”. The forum aimed to:
- Demonstrate the value of public-private partnerships in building resilient communities
- Launch the SM Resiliency Program and its Business Continuity Program (BCP) for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
- Showcase the resilience journey of NRC’s local government partners
- Forge stronger relationships with stakeholders for a more effective collaboration
